We can’t have a say in what comes next, because Mozilla has a vision. In the fullness of time, the lies it told itself to justify ‘gutting’ Firefox, have become habitual lies to a user-base who have stuck around because…well, Chrome is not an option, and the shiny-but-heartless Firefox is still way better than the well-known alternatives Mozilla is in the hands of people who never understood it in the first place. Market forces have made all of the most popular browsers indistinguishable. If you are hoping that the loyalty and patience you have given over the years to Mozilla will one day be justified, I am afraid that the Mozilla that once cared about empowering users to be creative and unique…simply does not exist now.
